End of Summer Writers' Retreat
Individual retreat for anyone who wants to stay away from worldly seductions (and write)
Worldly seductions are kept at bay
Join us and spend a week in the North of Tuscany on top of a mountain where worldly seductions are kept at bay and you'll find the inspiration to unwind or start, finish or improve your work. You will be writing individually and there is no mentor or coach available but there is an experienced host.
The Villa is on top of a hill near olive groves and woods ideal for hiking and there is a limited bus service to the near town of Pietrasanta. The tranquil atmosphere and the authentic hospitality in this 17th century family home make the retreat a heaven on a hill (see more reviews of guest of previous writing retreats on Tripadvisor).
Your accommodation is homestay -like. You'll have a single room with shared bathrooms. You can write indoors or outdoors and the house has wifi -unfortunately not in alle the rooms. You can go for a walk, read or take a daytrips to Lucca, Pisa or as far as Florence.
How to reach us
The nearest airport is Pisa. Connections from the UK are with British Airways, Easyjet and Ryanair. Flights from The Netherlands leave from Amsterdam (transavia.nl) or Eindhoven and Weeze/Dusseldorf (Ryanair.com). Detailed information on buses or trains from the airport to the Villa will follow after booking. If you intend touring the region before or after the retreat, you might consider renting a car at Pisa airport.
How about lunch and dinner?
While breakfast starts early with fresh Tuscan bread, yogurt, cereal, fruit and cups of coffee, lunch is a buffet so no one will interrupt your creative flow.
Dinners are together at the kitchen table and meals are cooked with fresh vegetables and home grown extra virgin olive oil and based on recipes that have been prepared in this household for generations.
We dine with a glass of wine and, if the occasion calls for it, lite the fireplace.
